NCL Supporting Local Relay for Life
Idaho Falls, Idaho – June 14, 2016
Northwest Cosmetic Labs is excited to be participating in the local American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life this year. The Relay for Life is the largest and most impactful fundraising event to end cancer in the world. Participants of the Relay build camaraderie by working as a team to take turns walking around the track to raise money to combat all forms of cancer. All proceeds from the Relay for Life will be used to help fight cancer and support cancer victims with programs such as the Hope Lodge, Look Good…Feel Better, and Road to Recovery.
Kimberly Smith, NCL’s team captain, has a personal connection to cancer that has motivated her to get involved. She relates, “A year ago a dear friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer and when I was told, the strangest feeling overcame me. I spent hours upon hours researching the cancer to find out how treatable it was. I didn’t know how to help beyond emotional support, so when I ran across the Relay for Life in Idaho Falls, I decided that was how I would make my contribution.”
Matthew Bryant, CEO of NCL, also has a very personal connection to cancer. With a family member who is celebrating one year of being clear of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, he explains, “I don’t think it is very difficult to find anyone that does not know someone who has been affected by cancer. This great cause helps us to show support for all of our coworkers, customers, and community members.”
Gearing up for the big event, NCL has a team of fifteen volunteers that are committed to raising money and honoring past and present cancer victims. NCL is also a proud sponsor of the local Relay for Life as a Silver Sponsor and is excited to have this partnership with such a worthy cause.
